My name is Lieneke van den Brink. I graduated from the University of Midwifery Education & Studies in Maastricht in 2007. Having worked for various regional midwifery services for one year I obtained a permanent position at Claire de Lune in January 2011. Midwifery is a beautiful profession with lots of variety. Providing guidance during pregnancy and delivery and offering maternity care are very special to me. Each time is unique!
Besides midwifery, I like to keep learning. That is why in 2012 I successfully completed ultrasound training. Additionally, I achieved a master’s degree in “Healthcare policy, innovation and management” at Maastricht University during the summer of 2017. With this newly gained knowledge I started a new job in October 2017. Apart from my midwifery work I now also work at Catharina Hospital and St. Anna Hospital as project assistant to integral birth care. From this different perspective I will work to improve birth care quality.
As of July 2016 I am married to Gijs! We have 3 beautiful sons, Wout (’18) and the twins Job & Mels (’20).
Looking forward to meeting you during one of our checkups.
